By remembering the Woolf Institute in your will, you can have a lasting impact on our work for years to come and we thank you most sincerely for your generous intention. There are different forms of legacy - we recommend that you seek legal advice in deciding which is most appropriate for you.
We provide here some sample wording to include the Woolf Institute in your will:
I give to the Woolf Institute, of Madingley Road, Cambridge CB3 0UB (Registered Charity number 1069589) the residue/the sum of £x, free of tax, for the general purposes of the Institute. I declare that the receipt of the Director of Administration & Services/Company Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.
If you prefer, you can indicate that you have an interest in a more specific direction for your gift. Please contact development@woolf.cam.ac.uk to ensure your wishes are understood and met. Take a look at our priorities for support here.
If you have already made a will but would like to leave a gift to the Institute, you may do so by making an addition - a Codicil - to your existing will. Your solicitor can advise you.
