Vacancy: Junior Research Fellow

The Institute wishes to appoint a Junior Research Fellow for a forthcoming two-year research project concerned with religious fundamentalism.

We are looking for a post-doctoral scholar with good knowledge and experience in the study of religion and interdisciplinary research. The project will involve textual study as well as ethnography with a strong focus on modern as well as contemporary religious fundamentalisms.

Expertise in at least two of the religions under review will be required and the candidate needs to demonstrate knowledge of religious fundamentalism. Experience in fieldwork and online dissemination would also be helpful.

The Junior Research Fellow will work with the Founder Director and other Woolf Institute staff on the project. The person should also feel comfortable working within a fast-paced work environment, in an Institute with a strong academic focus, and as part of a small staff. Finally, the successful candidate will need to be able to commute easily to the Cambridge area.

This is a 2-year contract.
