Dr Katherine O'Lone appointed Outreach Manager

25th June 2020

Dr Katherine O'Lone is 'delighted to take up the Outreach Manager position at the Woolf Institute and profoundly grateful to the donors whose generosity made it possible. The position affords incredible new outreach and research opportunities for myself and the Institute. I am really enjoy engaging with the full breadth of activities at the Woolf Institute. It is a privilege to be given the chance to transmit the work of the Institute to a wider audience and be involved in maximising our impact at all levels, from the academic to public education.'

Dr O'Lone has been promoted from her previous role as Researcher and Public Education Officer on the Woolf Institute's 'Measures of Success project, which she will continue to completion whilst beginning the task of developing and co-ordinating the Institute's wider Outreach programme. Having identified a prototype set of indicators or 'Measures of Success' to assess the effectiveness of different types of interfaith activities and initiatives, Dr O'Lone is now testing these and will publish her findings and toolkit, for use on Woolf projects and by other groups, in 2021. She has also begun working on materials, courses and events with partners at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, schools, hospitals and hospices and will work with colleagues to expand these and additional outreach initiatives derived from Woolf Institute research evidence and data. She is a frequent guest on our podcast series.
