Overview

The Woolf Institute and the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies present the next panel discussion in the Muslim-Jewish Relations Seminar Series on 'Minorities in Shia Law'. The speakers are Fr. Christopher Clohessy, Sheikh Nuru Mohammed and Dr Esther-Miriam Wagner. They will discuss:

Fr. Christopher Clohessy: 'The Mother of Jesus and the Mother of al-Husayn in Catholicism and Shii Islam'

Sheikh Nuru Mohammed: 'Shiism and Ecumenicism in West Africa'

Dr Esther-Miriam Wagner: 'Jews, Christians, and Shii Thought: A Fatimid Melange'

This event will be held on Tuesday 5 February 2019 at 5.00pm in rooms 8-9 (ground floor) at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (Sidgwick Site). A curry supper will be held at the Woolf Institute from 7.00pm.
