Book Launch: Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas by Dr Aviad Moreno

23rd September @ 14:00 - 16:00

Woolf Institute, Madingley Road, CB3 0UB Cambridge

Dr Aviad Moreno will be launching his new book, Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas, on 23 September at the Woolf Institute, between 2-4pm. Dr Moreno delves into how their combined narratives of ancestry in Spain, Israel, Morocco, and various Latin American countries intertwined, shaping the local hubs of this diaspora and interconnecting them globally.

The Hispanic Moroccan Jewish diaspora emerged as one of the most mobile and globally dispersed North African groups in the twentieth century, with hubs in Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Spain, Israel, Canada, France, and the US, among others.

Join us to explore a fresh perspective on Jewish migration and diaspora formation, adding to our understanding of multi-layered and dynamic ethnic communities on the move.
