Helen Cornish joined the Woolf Institute in April 2017 as Director of Development after nearly thirteen years as a Fellow and Director of Development at Robinson College, Cambridge. During her time at Robinson, Helen was Deputy Chair (Alumni Relations) for the Cambridge Colleges Development Group (CCDG) for several years and she has convened and chaired Trusts and Foundations training sessions for CASE. 

Before moving to Cambridge, Helen worked in London for the Institute of Historical Research, the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial College School of Medicine, the British Lung Foundation and the Brain and Spine Foundation and specialises in establishing and building capacity in development and fundraising programmes. 

Helen's role at the Woolf Institute is to secure funding for the Institute's teaching, research and public education programmes. Helen also has experience as a primary school governor and a volunteer board member for a local charity.
