Emma Heyn joined the Woolf Institute as an Operations Assistant in September 2019, following the successful completion of her MPhil degree in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Cambridge. Through her broad skills set obtained through working for the BBC, writing and illustrating for Tatler Hong Kong, as well as through extensive travelling and academic work, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Institute.
Having lived in Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Myanmar, and Hong Kong, she has now happily settled into Cambridge life, supporting the Director of Services and Administration, where she assists in managing the purpose-built Institute building, external conferencing, health and safety, GDPR, organisational compliance hr support, and more. She is thrilled to be part of a dynamic team fostering tolerance and understanding in global societies.
