Theological Education in the 21st Century: Debate II
Overview
The second of three events in the series 'Theological Education in the 21st Century: A Debate' will take place on Thursday 22 March 2018 at 5.00pm.
The speakers for this event are:
- Dr Eeva John, Enabling Officer, Church of England
- Revd Linda Church, Director of Ministry, Diocese of Ely
- Revd Matt Wall, Team Vicar, Popular
They will discuss the gap between theory and practice: bridging the divide between faith educators and leaders.
The purpose of this series of debates, organised by Woolf Institute Cambridge Scholar Austin Tiffany, is to bring together various voices in the field of theological education and clerical training. Categories to be discussed will include Jewish, Christian and Muslim theological education, the adaptation of religious leaders to their surroundings and circumstances (that happens at a more rapid pace than at theological institutions), and debates about Mixed-mode or Residential-mode-style of clerical training.
