Overview

In the first of our Library Talks Series, the Woolf Institute is delighted to welcome Professor Marc Saperstein on Wednesday 21 February 2018 at 5pm.

Professor Saperstein's talk will be 'Agony in the Pulpit: Christian Sermonic Responses to Nazi Mass Persecution and Murder, ca 1933-1945' and derives from his forthcoming book, Agony in the Pulpit: Jewish Preaching in Response to Nazi Persecution and Mass Murder, 1933-1945 (Hebrew Union College Press-University of Pittsburgh Press, 2018).

Marc is Professor Emeritus of Jewish history at George Washington University and Professor of Jewish history and Homiletics at Leo Baeck College.

The talk will take place in the Woolf Institute Library and will be followed by a small drinks reception.
