Dr Josef (Yousef) Meri

I passionately believe in the ability of peoples to overcome their differences through an honest examination of their own and the ‘other’s’ past. People often project their anxieties and uncertainties about the world around them onto the past and in so doing fail to understand ‘the other’ and the past. In order to counter this perception, I believe in empowering students to develop an appreciation for and an understanding of the historical processes that inform and shape inter-communal and interfaith relations.
