Research vacancies at the Woolf Institute
1 July 2014
The Woolf Institute in Cambridge invites applications for two Junior Research Fellow positions for a comparative European study on trust. The positions will last for two years, with the possibility of extending to a third year.
The study examines trust between and amongst faith communities in four European cities: Paris, Berlin, London, and Rome. The research team is looking specifically for JRFs to work in Paris or Rome, and thus both qualitative research skills and fluent Italian or French are required. Knowledge of social issues caused by the recession in Europe and familiarity with community-based initiatives like food banks and/or religious diversity in Europe would be an advantage. Capacity to help develop a website and manage social media would also be an asset.
The successful candidate must possess a PhD at the time of starting the fellowship and able both to conduct research in the relevant city and spend time in Cambridge when necessary. The starting salary is £26,000 plus benefits. The exact start date is negotiable but should be no later than January 1, 2015.
The deadline is September 5, 2014 at 5:00 pm. Interviews will be held on Wednesday October 1.
Please send your CV, cover letter outlining relevant experience, and the names of two referees to Tina Steiner at email@example.com.
