Memorandum between Doha International Center for Inter-faith Dialogue (DICID) and the Woolf Institute

On October 26th the Doha International Center for Inter-faith Dialogue (DICID) and the Woolf Institute signed an agreement for bilateral academic co-operation. DICID Chairman Professor Ibrahim Saleh Al Naimi and Woolf Institute Founding Director Dr Edward Kessler MBE signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the last day of the Ninth Doha Conference of Inter-faith Dialogue in front of an audience of 250 Jews, Christians and Muslims from around the world. The memorandum expressed the intention of DICID, the leading inter-faith insititution in the Gulf, and the Woolf Institute to establish future academic co-operation.
The partnership will include an annual high profile lectures in Doha and Cambridge; cooperation on academic and educational publications; exchange programmes for students and also the opportunity for a visiting fellowship, which would enable an eminent scholar to spend 1-3 months in either Cambridge or Doha.
The first lecture will be delivered in Doha by Lord Woolf in 2012.
