Sad news

15 May 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our colleague and friend, Matthew Teather. He passed away on Tuesday 9 May 2017.

Matt was the Associate Director of Development at the Woolf Institute. He was a cheerful and enthusiastic young man with a zest for life and laughter. His positive outlook on life was inspiring to us all even during his illness. He had a smile for everyone and was highly regarded by all who ever had the good fortune to meet him.

He made a major contribution to the Woolf Institute over six years and worked closely with the whole team and others connected with fundraising.  Among his many achievements, he managed a number of the major Royal dinners and also organised the ‘patrons’ pilgrimage to Rome, Jerusalem and Amman as well as the sponsored ‘fun run’.

Matt will be greatly missed here. We will remember our dear friend and valued colleague with great fondness and deep affection.

He leaves his wife Chloe and young daughter Thea, of whom he was especially proud.

May his memory be for a blessing (zichrono l'vracha)

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
