Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration
28 January 2016
Hosted by the Woolf Institute and the Cambridge Unitarian Church, the Cambridge Theological Federation Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration took place on Tuesday 26 January 2016.
Organised by students who had recently been part of the cohort on the Intensive Course, Judaism and Jewish-Christian Relations, the commemoration remembered the victims of the Shoah and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
This year’s HMD theme is Don’t Stand By. There was time for personal reflection and contemplation, and the congregation were invited to light a candle to affirm their commitment to the HMD theme.
